Disney Dreamlight Valley's New Quality of Life Updates

Last week Disney Dreamlight Valley released a new Star Path and Season of Scares update. We got to meet a new villager - Oogie Boogie - and soon will have Zero as a companion.

This update brought with it huge quality of life improvements to the game! First off, we are now able to move the horse stable, stalls (aside from Goofy's stall), and WALL-E's garden from our main valley to a floating island. We can also move Tiana's restaurant and Olaf's Grand Exhibition. This frees up a significant amount of space in our valleys.

Gameloft is tempting us to buy Moonstones with the new ability to create and share furniture preset codes. Placing an item you don't have from a preset code creates a mirage of the item.

When you interact with the item it takes you to the premium shop and allows you to buy it (with the exception of Star Path items, items from DLCs you don't own, and Scrooge shop items you haven't seen in your shop before). This makes only being able to save two pins in the Premium Shop less terrible!

The map also got a big update. Now when you hover your cursor over a restaurant or Scrooge's shop, the icons of the villagers inside that location are viewable all at once - the icons fanning out instead of being on top of one another. Mining nodes are also viewable and show when a node has respawned.

An economy update gives a big advantage to newer players, or players who still have biomes to unlock in the base game or the DLCs. For example, the most expensive biomes in both Eternity Isle and Storybook Vale used to cost 10,000 mist or snippets, respectively, are now only 4,000.

The best friend hangout bonus has been nerfed, so goodbye to those huge drops from level 10 villagers. However, players have found that Ancient Vacuums are cheaper in both mist and materials to craft.

We still can't move the treehouse from Forgotten Lands or the Mother Gothel's house from Glade of Trust, but this update has given us plenty to be happy about.
